The Environmental and Development Services team monitor public health related businesses who provide food and beauty services to the community, along with places of public access such as public swimming pools, making sure they are safe for the Cumberland Council residents. This team is also responsible for regulating compliance throughout the LGA ensuring that amenity and general safety is achieved, monitoring building compliance and fire safety. All of these services allow residents and visitors to the area to enjoy and feel safe within our Council area.
This role will assist the Coordinator Environmental Health and other members of the Environmental Health Unit and Council to ensure that the organisation meets all its Legislative, Management Plan and Budgetary requirements. The Graduate Environmental Health Officer is also responsible for maintaining Cumberland City Council (the organisation and the community) at the forefront of Environmental Health.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain high level experience in multiple areas of environmental health that will provide invaluable experience in your environmental health career.
