We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our dynamic Wellness Team, working from both our gym facilities and hydrotherapy pool.

Available Opportunity

We currently have one Permanent Full-Time position available to join our Wellness Team as an Exercise Physiologist.

• 1 x Full-Time position 38 hours/week         Tuesday to Saturday roster

Suitable applicants would be required to work across department operational hours.

Here’s what you’ll be up to......

• Design and implement personalised exercise programs, utilising both gym and hydrotherapy pool for treatments
• Delivering accredited exercise physiology services to private, Medicare, SIRA Workcover, DVA, CTP and NDIS clients
• Play an essential role in helping clients manage chronic conditions, recover from injury and improve overall physical health and wellbeing
• Providing accurate and timely reporting to ensure proper documentation with an emphasis on best practice, governance and legislation
• Foster strong working relationships across other departments to ensure a consistent and positive client experience
• Lead and support group-based exercise and rehabilitation programs where appropriate

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.

Requirements

Essential

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in Exercise Science / Physiotherapy or related field
• Exercise Physiologist Accreditation
• Current First Aid Certificate (including Provide First Aid, Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
  and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• A valid NSW Working with Children Check
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and monitor procedures and systems
• Sound technical knowledge in client programming
• High level communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with the ability to use standard software packages
• Demonstrated commitment to corporate values of Penrith City Council
