Greater Hume Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Overseer to play a key role in the delivery of Council's infrastructure maintenance and operational programs.

Reporting to the Manager Works, you will lead and coordinate day-to-day operations, supervise work crews, manage plant and fleet resources, and oversee the delivery of bridge, drainage and maintenance programs across the Council area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong civil construction knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As Operations Overseer, you will:

• Coordinate daily operational activities and supervise work crews to ensure the efficient delivery of maintenance programs.
• Lead and support staff to foster a positive, productive and safety-focused workplace culture.
• Oversee plant procurement, maintenance scheduling and fleet management activities.
• Coordinate and monitor bridge, drainage and infrastructure maintenance programs.
• Manage purchasing and procurement activities in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
• Monitor budgets, resource allocation and asset maintenance programs.
• Promote and maintain high standards of workplace health and safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Undertake other duties within your skills, qualifications and experience as directed by the Manager Works.
