Join Banyule’s Transport and Engineering team as our Senior Development Engineer
Banyule City Council is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Development Engineer to join our Transport and Engineering Department. This is an opportunity to apply your civil, drainage and development engineering expertise in a role that supports quality development outcomes, effective stormwater management and positive outcomes for our community.
About the role
In this role, you will assess the engineering components of residential, commercial and industrial developments and subdivisions, with a strong focus on stormwater drainage, flood risk, water-sensitive urban design and compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies, standards and specifications.
You will work closely with internal teams, developers, consultants, government agencies and community members, providing clear technical advice and helping to resolve development and drainage-related matters in a professional and timely way.

Reporting to the Development Engineering Team Leader, the Senior Development Engineer will provide professional drainage and civil development engineering advice and support the effective management of development and drainage-related applications, tasks and customer enquiries. You’ll:
