Assistant Water Operator - Lake Cargelligo

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a motivated Assistant Water Operator to join Lake Cargelligo Water & Sewer Team!

Based in Lake Cargelligo, this full-time position is responsible for assisting the Water Operator in the operation and maintenance of the Water Filtration Plant, while also performing a variety of duties including the maintenance, repair and installation of water & sewerage reticulation, pumping stations and reservoirs. This role also relieves in the Sewer Treatment Plant as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Water Industry relevant qualifications (or willing to obtain)
• Previous work related experience
• Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
• A high level of customer service and communication skills
• A current Class C Driver Licence.
• Good reading and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.

What we Offer

Salary and Conditions: 

• Salary range: $2,315.14 to $2,574.79 per fortnight
• Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
• Position classified at Grade 5-6 within Council's Salary Structure.
• Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
