Banyule City Council is seeking a highly capable Senior Procurement Coordinator to lead our procurement function and drive a strategic, risk-aware and value-focused approach to procurement across the organisation.
This leadership role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of procurement, influence key business decisions and deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.
The opportunity
This is leadership role with the opportunity to drive procurement governance, prioritisation, planned sourcing and performance across Council while embedding best-practice procurement approaches. You will advise executive leaders, represent procurement in governance and planning forums, and lead a growing team fostering a culture of collaboration, early engagement, innovation, capability development and strong governance.

What you'll bring/what we are looking for
You are a strategic and resilient procurement leader who combines strong commercial judgement with a practical, collaborative approach. You can navigate complexity, influence senior stakeholders and translate governance requirements into clear, effective ways of working. You will bring:
Public sector procurement experience is desirable; CIPS or equivalent professional qualifications will be highly regarded.
