The role

The Statutory Planner is responsible for the delivery of statutory planning outcomes in accordance with the Mount Alexander Planning Scheme and the Planning and Environment Act 1987, through:

• assessing and processing planning permit applications
• providing professional and timely responses to statutory planning enquiries
• supporting senior officers in representations at VCAT and other public forums as required

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

• qualifications in Planning or a related discipline
• relevant experience, ideally in local government
• a positive attitude and passion for excellent customer service
• analytical and problem solving skills
