Sitting within the broader City Planning Department, the Building Team oversees the assessment of building applications, report and consents, building compliance and other technical matters.
As part of the Monash Building team, you will be in a supportive team environment with an emphasis on continuous improvement and personal development and the opportunity to extend your skill set through exposure to varied and diverse building matters.
We are seeking preferably a suitably qualified Building Inspector to fill a full-time position with a strong focus Building Compliance.
The role will also assist and support the building team in delivering excellent service to team members of Council, applicants, and the broader community. Providing a responsive, prompt, and competitive customer service to the community.
In addition, the role will be an integral member of the Building Team, providing technical support and working collaboratively to achieve goals.
The Building Inspector will undertake various duties including:
