JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead the testing journey and help deliver a successful ERP transformation, bringing people, processes and technology together to deliver quality outcomes. This is a key role in ensuring the new system is thoroughly tested, fit for purpose and ready to support the organisation.
As the Test Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing testing activities across the project lifecycle. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, vendors and technical specialists to make sure the solution meets agreed business, functional, integration and quality requirements.
You will lead and coordinate testing activities across:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Parallel Runs
- Production Verification
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Develop, maintain, and manage a comprehensive test suite (Test Strategy, Test Plan, testing schedule, and associated testing artefacts)
- Establish and implement the project Test Management framework, standards, processes, and reporting mechanisms while ensuring adherence to the Quality Management framework.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and implementation partners to define, review, and approve test scenarios and test cases aligned to future-state business processes and obtain formal UAT sign-off from business process owners.
- Validate the configured ERP solutions, integrations, and migrated data meet approved business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Lead and coordinate the execution of all testing phases (System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT)/
- Production Verification Testing, Parallel Runs, and Regression Testing).
- Ensure adequate test coverage across business processes, integrations, security roles, and system functionality, while managing defects through triage, prioritisation, retesting, and resolution tracking.
- Monitor testing progress and quality outcomes through reporting, dashboards, and metrics, proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
- Other duties as directed and authorised by the Project Manager, Program Manager, or Chief Information Officer.
ABOUT YOU
Essential:
- Relevant formal qualifications and/or industry experience gained by practical application across a minimum of 5 years in software testing, including experience in Test Lead, Test Analyst, or similar quality assurance roles.
- Proven experience leading testing activities for TechnologyOne implementations, upgrades, or other large-scale ERP transformation programs.
- Strong expertise in test planning, test strategy development, test management, and detailed test specification design.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual test suites across multiple testing phases.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
Desirable (if applicable):
- Experience in government/public sector environments
- Relevant tertiary qualification (IT or similar) or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in using Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Zephyr for test management, defect tracking, and test execution activities.
