About the Position

We're seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our Facilities and Property Team as Coordinator Facilities and Property. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of facilities, housing and property assets across the Shire.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced facilities or property professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career. If you enjoy leading people, coordinating projects and delivering practical outcomes that support communities, we'd love to hear from you.

Working closely with employees, contractors, tenants and stakeholders, you'll play a key role in coordinating maintenance programs, property services, accommodation planning and minor capital works. As part of our team, you'll lead and support staff, oversee service delivery and contribute to the continuous improvement of facilities and property operations. Your ability to balance operational priorities with customer-focused outcomes will help ensure our assets remain safe, functional and fit for purpose.

This position is responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting employees and contractors across facilities, housing and property operations.
  • Coordinating maintenance programs, asset inspections and service delivery activities.
  • Overseeing housing, accommodation and property portfolios across the Shire.
  • Managing contractor performance, procurement activities and operational budgets.
  • Coordinating minor works, refurbishment projects and property improvement initiatives.
  • Building positive relationships with tenants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel to other Shire towns is required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in facilities management, property services, building maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience leading and developing operational teams.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance programs, contractors and service delivery activities.
  • Experience managing budgets, procurement activities and contracts, with the ability to deliver effective outcomes within resource constraints.
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience managing procurement processes or contract administration.
  • A current C Class Driver's Licence.
