SOUTHLAND BASED ROLE – SITE ENGINEERING MANAGER
Platinum Recruitment are excited to be partnering with one of NZs largest exporters in the country. The Engineering Manager is a critical function in this busy food processing site.

THE ROLE:
As Engineering Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, your core functions are as follows:
- Minimising downtime with planning & maintenance management
- Ensuring all maintenance adheres to food safety & quality standards
- Providing leadership in Health & Safety
- Driving continuous improvement within the maintenance function
- Management of maintenance budgets & related asset management
- Project management: H&S & Sustainability upgrade projects
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE/ BE: - Min. 6 years in manufacturing maintenance – ideally food
- Min. 3 years team leadership / people management experience
- Mechanical / Electrical trade OR Engineering tertiary qualification
- IT proficient; CMMS preventative maintenance software
- Adept at driving Lean Manufacturing & CI methodologies
- Professional communication skills up & down the chain
- Sound reporting, planning, budgeting & job scheduling skills
