Our client, a well-established construction firm specialising in Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater is looking for an experienced estimator to join their team.
The Role
This is a full-time position Mon-Fri
Securing new business through tenders and the negotiation of works with existing clients
Pricing jobs in the $1m-100m range
Managing the bid process from start to finish
Bid writing
Procurement and subcontractor management
Risk identification and mitigation
Working with the operational teams to ensure smooth handover and execution of projects
Quality Assurance
You will deal with a variety of projects but predominately in the Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater sectors
What we are looking for
Our Ideal candidate would have experience of Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater projects
Must have 3+ years’ experience of pricing projects up to $100M
Great commercial and financial acumen
Solid negotiation skills
Fantastic IT Skills, mainly Microsoft Suite
Must have great technical knowledge of civil engineering projects
Must be great at building and managing relationships both internal and external
Must be presentable and be able to deal with customers.
Good knowledge of H&S
A tertiary Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying would be advantageous
Project management experience would be a distinct advantage
Must hold rights to work in NZ.
