Field Technician

  • Salary: $73,553 per annum ($1,414 per week)
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)

Have you had training and experience in the maintenance of natural areas and enjoy working outdoors?

Parks and Natural Environment are seeking a passionate Field Technician to join our Natural Environment team. In this hands on role you will undertake natural area regeneration duties including chemical and manual weed control, planting, fencing, seed collection and propagation of native plants.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Chemical Certificate (Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases AHCCHM307, Transport and store chemicals AHCCHM304 and Control weeds AHCPMG301).
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certificates.
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009).
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
