The role:
Council is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Grader Operator to join our Works Delivery Team as Grader Team Leader. This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role where you’ll guide a skilled, close-knit team delivering high-quality civil construction and maintenance works that directly support our community.
In this hands-on role, you’ll lead by example, coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your work will include both planned construction projects and responsive maintenance activities, offering variety and the satisfaction of seeing real results on the ground.

What’s on offer: 
- A salary range from $1268.00 – $1420.20 per 38 hour week (based on relevant skills and experience) + 12% superannuation + allowances.
- A true 38 hour working week, Monday – Friday working week with the opportunity for overtime if desired.

What we need from you: 
Our ideal candidate will be a motivated and skilled professional who holds a Certificate IV in Civil Construction Operations (or a related field) and brings hands-on experience in a similar role. You’ll be confident leading a team, with strong communication and leadership abilities and capable of delivering high-quality outcomes in grader operations including table drains, road grading, and final trim work.

Your expertise in road, drainage, concrete, and civil construction and maintenance techniques will be highly valued. A current Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction (White Card) is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret design plans and effectively plan and manage work sites.
