The eGate Replacement Project is a cornerstone of Customs’ digital transformation journey, strengthening identity verification and border security. As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of the eGate Replacement and biometric capability implementation across four airports, ensuring successful deployment by 30 June 2027.
You’ll operate in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, managing technology and business change at scale.

To work for Customs, you must meet all the following requirements:
*If you are a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided in New Zealand for the last 5 years but have been absent from New Zealand for periods of 6-9 months within the past five years, preferably in one or more of the following countries: either Australia, Canada, UK or the USA then you will be required to provide overseas Police certificates for these periods spent outside of New Zealand.
