Permanent Part time (Swim Zone Matamata)

We are looking for a ‘can do’ lifeguard to join our team at Swim Zone Matamata on a permanent part time basis. The hours of work for the permanent part time role based at Matamata will be:

Summer hours 1 December – 31 March

Winter hours     1 April – 30 November

Position PT02

Summer hours (25.5hours per week)

Mon 10.45 - 7.15pm                                                                            

Thurs 12 - 4pm              

Fri 5.30 - 2pm                

Sat 11 - 4.30pm

Winter Hours (22.75 per week)

Mon 10.45 - 7.15pm 

Tues 3.30-7.15pm

Fri 5.30 - 2pm

Sat 12-3pm

Full training will be provided to obtain first aid and lifeguard qualifications although preference will be given to applicants who already hold these qualifications or have prior experience.

As a lifeguard it will be your job to ensure the safety of our customers while providing a high level of customer service. Our ideal applicant will be a confident swimmer, has the ability to  communicate effectively, make great health and safety decisions, keep the facility clean, and be confident to provide emergency response where required.  Swim Zone lifeguards have a varied role of rotating between reception, lifeguarding, pool tests, plant room and cleaning.
