About the Role

We’re seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Adult Learn to Swim Instructors to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference—helping adults who are new to swimming or looking to improve their technique to feel confident and safe in the water.

As an instructor, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. You’ll help participants build essential water safety skills, improve their technique, and develop a lifelong enjoyment of swimming.

We’re ideally looking for two instructors to share the available shift patterns below, but we welcome interest from anyone who can cover part of the schedule.

Shift times:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 5:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 7:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping others learn and thrive in the water. You’ll bring a strong customer service focus, a positive can-do attitude, and clear communication skills. You enjoy working with adult and children, and are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

Ideally, you have previous experience working swim learners, and you’re comfortable engaging with people from all backgrounds. You’re adaptable, open to change, and keen to contribute ideas for continuous improvement. You work well as part of a team, support your colleagues, and take pride in delivering high-quality instruction in line with Swim City guidelines.

You understand the importance of health, safety, and wellbeing, and you’re proactive about maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
