Job Description
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to manage Council’s diverse portfolio of facilities, assets, fleet, security services, and infrastructure. You will have a strong background in asset and facilities management, with the ability to develop long-term strategies, lead capital works and maintenance programs, manage contracts and budgets, and provide high-level advice to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a collaborative people leader who can build strong stakeholder relationships, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance and risk management, and deliver sustainable outcomes that support Council’s operational and community objectives.

Desired Skills and Experience
What You Will Bring:
You will bring extensive experience in leading diverse asset portfolios, including facilities, buildings, fleet, plant, equipment, security systems, and infrastructure assets. You will have proven expertise in developing and implementing asset management frameworks, lifecycle strategies, maintenance programs, and long-term capital works plans. With strong leadership and people management skills, you will be able to drive change, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and lead high-performing teams. You will also demonstrate excellent contract and budget management capabilities, outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to provide strategic advice on complex issues, risks, and opportunities. Your ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver sustainable outcomes will be key to your success in this role
Must have : Degree qualification in Asset Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, Business, Project Management or a related discipline, together with extensive relevant senior management experience; or an equivalent combination of qualifications and substantial experience in a comparable leadership role, National Police Clearance and Current C class Driver's License.
Please note: A current National Police Clearance, issued within the last six (6) months, is an essential requirement for this position.
