Mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Fixed term role available.

  • Lead the strategic and operational delivery of a national programme focused on reducing the spread and impact of exotic Corbicula, contributing to the protection of New Zealand’s freshwater ecosystems.

  • Design and implement a long-term management programme in collaboration with iwi, government, industry, and communities.

  • Provide strategic leadership, governance, and risk management to ensure programme success.

Mō te tangata | About you

  • Proven experience in programme management (10+ years), stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership.

  • Strong understanding of biosecurity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and partnership with tangata whenua.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
