The City of Salisbury is seeking a dynamic and strategic Organisational Development Team Leader to join our People and Performance team. This role is pivotal in driving organisational capability and fostering a culture, ensuring a great place to work.

The Role:

This role is responsible for driving improvement in organisational capability across the organisation. You will work in close partnership with Divisional Managers to execute the current People Strategy. You will play a key role in identifying people-related risks and opportunities, leveraging existing strengths, and designing contemporary Organisational Development interventions that support effectiveness, resilience, and sustainable performance.

Key Responsibility

  • Lead and deliver initiatives that enhance organisational capability, drives leadership abilities and creates employee engagement.
  • Provide expert advice on organisational development strategies aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Design and implement programs that support leadership development, workforce planning, and cultural transformation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure OD initiatives are embedded and sustainable.
  • Working closely with the Change management lead ensuring alignment in organisational change initiatives.

Skill & Competencies:

  • Postgraduate qualifications are preferred or minimum 7 years' experience within -Leadership, Human Resource Management, or related fields
  • Experience in Organisational Development, workforce capability, or people strategy roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics and research
  • Demonstration of critical thinking with the ability to translate complicated data into meaningful engagement for stakeholders.
  • High level of proven experience in complex human resource matters and general employee relations.
  • Demonstrated success in system / process improvement projects.
  • Demonstration of systems thinking with the ability to manage metrics and manage reporting.
