At PNCC, our Parking team plays a crucial role in keeping Palmerston North moving. We promote responsible parking behaviour while ensuring compliance with parking regulations and legal requirements. We pride ourselves on having a parking team that’s approachable, fair, and focussed on educating and assisting the community.

About the role

In this rewarding role, you’ll administer parking bylaws and regulations under the Land Transport Act, ensuring the safety and convenience of our city’s streets. This role goes beyond enforcement; it’s about engaging with the community, finding solutions, and making a real difference.

A typical day includes:

  • Educating and advising motorists on parking regulations.
  • Issuing infringement notices for non-compliance when necessary.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Council by delivering exceptional service with fairness and consistency.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9.00am to 5.30pm)
