Croydon Shire Council is seeking an experienced and hands-on Parks and Gardens Leading Hand to supervise and coordinate the maintenance of parks, gardens and public spaces across the Shire. This is a practical leadership role where you'll guide work teams, coordinate resources and help ensure Croydon's public spaces are maintained to a high professional standard. You'll lead the day-to-day delivery of parks, gardens and public space maintenance, while supporting staff development and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• Proven experience leading outdoor maintenance or parks and gardens teams
• Strong knowledge of parks and gardens operations and plant and equipment
• Ability to coordinate workloads, resources and daily work priorities
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and quality service delivery
• Ability to train, support and motivate team members
• Strong organisational and customer service skills
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
