Flinders Shire Council is seeking candidates for the role of Plumber within the Engineering
Department.
The Plumber is responsible for undertaking maintenance, repairs, and construction activities relating
to Council’s water and sewerage infrastructure across the Flinders Shire. This role plays a key part in
ensuring the reliable operation of essential services and contributes directly to Council’s operational
and strategic objectives.
As a representative of Council, demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to a high level of
service and continuous improvement in the best interest of Council and the Community are essential.
The position is classified as a Level BT1 under the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream
C) Award – State 2017.
The annual salary for this position is $70,515 gross per annum depending on skills, experience, and
qualifications. Additional allowances may also apply to this role.
This is a permanent full-time position. The standard hours of work are 6.00am – 3.30pm (38 hours a
week), working a 9-day fortnight. (i.e. one day a fortnight is a paid day off).
