Our client, a well-established construction firm specialising in Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. The Role
This is a full-time position Mon-Fri and is a predominantly site-based role.
Supporting the Project Manager in the management of construction projects
Managing budgets, quality standards and safety on site
Building strong relationships with site staff, subcontractors and clients
Project Administration, progress claims, variations and contractual claims
Quality Assurance & Auditing
Risk identification and mitigation
Supply chain management
Managing and resolving subcontract issues
Ensuring work is completed inline with client and company specifications
Staffing co-ordination and allocation
Planning
You will deal with a variety of projects but predominately in the Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater sectors
What we are looking for
Our Ideal candidate would have at least 5 years’ experience of Civil Structures, Water and Wastewater projects
An experienced Project Engineer is preferred but we are happy to consider established Site Engineers ready to take the next step in their career
Great commercial and financial acumen
Solid negotiation skills
Great Leadership & people skills
Must drive continuous improvement on site
Fantastic IT Skills, mainly Microsoft Suite
Must have great technical knowledge of civil engineering projects
Must be great at building and managing relationships both internal and external
Must be presentable and be able to deal with customers.
Good knowledge of H&S
NZCE diploma or BE degree, or equivalent
Must hold rights to work in NZ.
