We’re seeking a motivated Project and Procurement Adviser to join our expanding Infrastructure team. This is a fantastic full-time, permanent opportunity to work with a talented, forward-thinking team. What Will You Do? | Ka aha koe?
As part of our Capital Works team, you’ll play a key role in supporting projects and procurements that align with Council’s strategic goals. You’ll provide advice, assurance, and coordination across multiple initiatives – helping ensure we achieve the best value and outcomes for our community.
Support Project and Programme Managers in the delivery of Council projects.
Contribute to the development of best practice procurement and project management frameworks, tools, and resources.
Provide high-quality advice, reporting, and assurance on procurement and project systems.
Review and maintain records within contract management systems.
Who Are You? | Ko wai koe?
You’ll bring a solid understanding of project management and procurement principles, ideally within a local or central government environment. You’re organised, methodical, and analytical – able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Essential:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in project management and procurement, including tendering and contract administration.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical and organisational skills.
High levels of integrity, reliability, and resilience.
A current New Zealand driver’s licence.
