Council is seeking a customer-focused and environmentally conscious Resource Recovery Officer to join our Waste Management team.

In this varied and hands-on role, you'll assist customers at our Waste Management Centres, promote best-practice recycling and waste disposal, and help keep our facilities safe, clean and efficient. From operating weighbridge and gatehouse systems to supporting resource recovery initiatives and waste education activities, you'll play an important role in helping Council reduce waste and maximise recycling outcomes for the community.

YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT (for eligible employees)

  • A weekly salary between $1,165 – $1,311 dependent upon skills and experience, plus 12% superannuation. Some penalty rates may apply to this position (more information can be provided by the below contact)
  • Work an open spread of hours on a 9-day fortnight, including weekend work as rostered, based on a 76-hour working fortnight
