About the role

As Team Leader (Public Library Services), you will lead and support the delivery of exceptional library experiences for visitors across Clarence Valley Libraries. You will provide leadership to the team in the Lower Clarence and oversee day-to-day operations across the Iluka, Maclean and Yamba Libraries, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused services are consistently delivered.
In this role, you will provide customer services at the Yamba Library and Community Centre, a new community space that brings together learning, connection and creativity. This unique facility offers the chance to contribute to innovative programming and strengthen the library's role as a vibrant community space.
As an integral member of the Regional Library Leadership Team, you will help ensure our libraries remain welcoming, accessible and inclusive spaces that support the lifelong learning, information and recreational needs of our diverse communities.
You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing library staff to build capability across the team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
The role also provides opportunities to build strong partnerships across Council, with community organisations and with key stakeholders throughout the region.

This position is located at Council's Yamba, Maclean and Iluka Libraries, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future. A probation period applies to this position.
