Team Leader Operator

About the Job

This is a key position that assists with the efficient and effective maintenance and operation of the Shire's Wylie Bay Waste Management Facility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate equipment predominantly forklift.
• Operate other plant equipment including bailing machine, small truck compactor and loader (training available where required).
• Supervise a small group of employees.
• Undertake minor maintenance of machinery.
• Labouring tasks as required.

This is a full time position, working 38 hours per week.  

About you 

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

• A forklift ticket plus demonstrated experience operating a forklift.
• Well developed teamwork, time management and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of routine plant maintenance requirements.

Benefits

Salary: $73,600.00 per annum

Permanent staff are entitled to:

• 5 weeks annual leave per year 
• The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
