The Shire of Ashburton is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Airport Screening & Operations Officer to join our team at Onslow Airport.
This is a diverse and rewarding role that combines aviation security screening with broader airport operations responsibilities. While screening functions form the primary focus of the position, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to a range of operational activities that support the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
The Shire is committed to developing its workforce and will provide training and support to further build the successful candidate's skills and capabilities in aviation screening, airport operations and Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) functions.

About the Position
The Airport Screening & Operations Officer is primarily responsible for conducting passenger and baggage screening in accordance with aviation security legislation, regulatory requirements and airport procedures. Screening functions represent the principal focus of the role and are critical to maintaining the safety, security and compliance of airport operations.
When not undertaking screening activities, you will contribute across a broad range of airport services including Airport Reporting Officer support, airport administration, customer service, facility presentation, maintenance coordination and operational activities that help ensure the airport operates safely and efficiently.

For the right candidate based in Onslow, training and support will be provided to obtain the required qualifications, certifications and competencies necessary to perform the role.
