Title: Communications Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week (option to do 9 day fortnight)
Salary Range: $89,174.98 to $103,636.41 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience).

Our opportunity:
Join a high-performing marketing and communications team connecting more than 270,000 residents with the services, programs and initiatives that shape life on the Northern Beaches.
As a Communications Officer, no 2 days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of Council services and projects to support and deliver timely, accurate and engaging communications that help keep our community informed about Council projects, services, events and initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful contribution to the way Council connects with residents and visitors, helping people stay informed, access services and engage with the projects and activities that matter to them..
Key focus areas:
Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns and activities.
Deliver high-quality communications across paid, earned and owned channels.
Write and edit engaging content for a range of audiences, including news stories, website content, social media posts and email marketing.
Coordinate content approvals, schedules, database updates, reporting and other activities that support the day-to-day operations of the team.
Design, optimise and deliver email marketing campaigns and use analytics to improve performance.
Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
Support the planning and production of video content and coordinate photography and design collateral.
Monitor, measure and report on campaign performance, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement.
Support incident and emergency communications when required.
About you:

What you will bring to our team:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, production, public relations or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in communications, public relations or marketing.
Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with experience working across a variety of communication channels.
Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms.
Experience using content management systems and analytics tools.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage content workflows, deadlines and competing priorities.
