We’re looking for an experienced Learn to Swim Team Leader to help drive the delivery of our Swimming and Water Safety programs across Active Monash facilities.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support the Learn to Swim Coordinator, guide and mentor instructors, and help ensure every lesson delivers confidence, safety, and fun in the water.

About the Position

• Support the day-to-day operations of Learn to Swim and School Swimming programs
• Provide on-deck leadership to Swimming & Water Safety Teachers and Pool Deck Supervisors
• Assist with staff training, development and rostering
• Ensure programs operate in line with policies, safety standards and child-safe practices
• Contribute to program growth, engagement and customer satisfaction
• Help maintain a welcoming, professional and community-focused aquatic environment

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people leadership, operational support, and quality service delivery.

Skills and Experience

• Experience working in Learn to Swim and/or School Swimming programs
• Confidence leading, supporting and developing aquatic staff
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• The ability to manage priorities, solve problems and support a busy program environment
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to safety, inclusion and team culture

Requirements

• AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Licence
• Current Working with Children Check
• Level 2 First Aid with current CPR
• Satisfactory National Police Check
• Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
