The Opportunity
In your role as Open Space Officer, you will be responsible for gathering, investigating and analysing data to support the review and development of new and existing masterplans, strategic plans, business cases, and policies that will provide the framework for the provision and management of Council's public open spaces.
In addition to this, you will provide advice and guidance around open space planning issues across the department and organisation, by monitoring and reporting on the management and maintenance standards of open space assets.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
The Recreation and Open Space team is responsible for the provision and strategic management of over 150 open spaces covering more than 300 hectares of land that is home to a broad range of parks, play spaces and sport and recreation facilities in City of Maribyrnong.
We are looking for an appropriately qualified and experienced Open Space Officer to contribute to the work of the Council's Recreation and Open Space team.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Strategy and Policy, this role is integral to supporting the development of open space strategies, policies and plans that will provide for higher quality open spaces across the municipality.
