About the role

This position is a permanent full-time role in the Major Projects team, based at Council’s Moruya Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of major infrastructure construction and maintenance projects through engaging consultants, contractors and direct control resources to meet Council’s asset and network objectives.

 

The salary for this position ranges from $87,540.62 to $120,332.17 per annum plus 12% superannuation and is dependent on the qualifications held by the employee upon commencement.

About you

You’re a skilled project leader with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure delivery. You excel at managing complex projects from design through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance at every stage. Your ability to lead teams, engage stakeholders, and deliver results within budget and timeframes sets you apart.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management or Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience delivering road, bridge, and stormwater projects, including contract preparation and administration.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage individuals effectively, and work independently across a broad range of engineering responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and the ability to implement environmental management systems.
  • Experience in project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn new systems.
