Records and Administration Officer

Diamantina Shire Council is seeking a suitably experienced Records and Administration Officer to join its Corporate Services team in Bedourie.
Reporting to the Governance Manager, the position is responsible for coordinating Council’s records and information management function. This includes maintaining Council’s electronic and physical records, administering the Electronic Document and Records Management System, supporting legislative compliance and helping staff apply effective recordkeeping practices.

About you
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in records management, information management or document control within a regulated environment.
You will also have experience administering an electronic records management system, sound knowledge of records classification, metadata, retention, disposal and information security, and the ability to interpret relevant legislation, standards and organisational policies.
A current Queensland C Class Driver Licence and National Police Check are essential. A Certificate IV or Diploma in Recordkeeping, Information Management or Business Administration, experience using MAGIQ or a similar system, and previous local government experience are desirable.
