Who we are:

The Role:

Support the efficient and sustainable operations of Salisbury Water, a key business unit of the City of Salisbury, by ensuring it continues to deliver innovative and reliable water services that contribute to the city's economic, environmental, and social goals. Maintain proficiency in all operational management systems, including the Risk-Based Management Plan for Managed Aquifer Recharge (MARRMP) schemes and related infrastructure. Oversee and coordinate contractors to complete all monitoring, calibration, maintenance, and asset renewal activities. Manage the daily operation of Salisbury Water schemes, ensuring compliance, performance, and service reliability.

Skill & Competencies:

  • High level communication skills, including the ability to quickly establish rapport, and successfully negotiate, with new or potential customers.
  • High level of organisation skills, including the ability to maintain work output under pressure, under self-guidance and while working on a range of tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures.
  • An understanding of relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice and internal policies and procedures relating to tendering processes and contract management.
  • Experience with computers and their engineering application, in particular SCADA systems.
  • Experience in contract management of small projects and operational contracts.
