Are you a hands-on maintenance professional with leadership experience and a passion for quality infrastructure? The Rural City of Wangaratta is looking for a proactive and skilled Team Leader – Sealed Roads to join our dedicated operations team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and Deliver Maintenance & Construction Programs: Oversee the delivery of sealed road maintenance and construction works in line with Council’s strategic plans and the Road Management Plan.
• Ensure Site Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to Occupational Health and Safety standards and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Operate and Supervise Equipment Use: Confidently operate and oversee the use of plant and machinery including trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes, and chainsaws.
• Record and Report: Maintain detailed records of works completed, equipment hours, and team time sheets to support project tracking and reporting.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with council teams and provide leadership and support across a variety of works and projects.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in road maintenance or civil construction
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
• Relevant plant and machinery operation experience
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
