About the role

This is a full-time, fixed term Traineeship within the Technical Services team, based in Moruya. In this role, you’ll contribute to delivering safe, effective, and efficient public infrastructure for our community by assisting with engineering design and survey tasks.

The base salary for this position ranges from $1,349.30 to $2,898.78 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

About you

You’re an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a strong interest in civil engineering and public infrastructure design. You’re eager to learn and grow through hands-on experience and study, bringing excellent communication, teamwork, and computer skills. You value diversity and have a genuine passion for survey and design work.

Your application will further demonstrate:

  • Current enrolment in, or willing to undertake, a Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) via distance education.
  • Interest in public infrastructure design, including roads, drainage, recreational facilities, and civil/building works.
  • Interest in engineering survey work, such as site surveys, construction set-out, base plans, and cadastral boundaries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with solid computer proficiency.
