Title: Workers Compensation Team Leader, TRP Contract - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Competitive Salary Package (subject to skills and experience)

Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week onsite at our offices in Warriewood)

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include:

• Maintaining Council’s self-insurance license in accordance with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) licensing policy and co-ordinating renewal on an annual basis including actuary, excess of loss insurance and audit requirements.
• Leading a team of Workers Compensation and Injury Management professionals to drive positive recovery outcomes for injured employees while ensuring compliance with NSW workers compensation legislation and self-insurance licence requirements.
• Managing complex and/or legal claims, including liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support timely outcomes both for the individual and Council.
• Monitor claims performance, trends and liabilities, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce costs and reporting accordingly.

We’re looking for an experienced and driven team leader to join our self-insured Workers Compensation team.  You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering best practice claims and injury management services under our self-insurance framework.
