Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Mason.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator Trades Services, this position is responsible for ensuring that all masonry services are maintained to a high standard in respect of Council buildings and public facilities. The role requires all works undertaken to be completed safely in accordance with the legislative requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety Act and associated regulations. The position is a hands-on role, within the field to achieve departmental objectives.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication and time management skills and the ability to meet set priorities. The successful candidate will require a relevant trade certificate or equivalent and have demonstrated relevant work experience including but not limited to stone masonry, concrete works, brick paving, tiling and kerb works, steel fixing, form work and RMS experience. We are seeking suitable applicants who can liaise with clients & stakeholders and who will use their knowledge, skills and experience to carry out masonry services for Council be they scheduled, unscheduled and emergency works as directed.
