Title: Transport Project Officer, Temporary up to 6 months - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $92604.95 to $107622.32 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Transport & Civil Infrastructure Business Unit provides a range of maintenance and delivery relating to road assets, traffic management and street lighting; and infrastructure related to parking system assets. It provides timely and accurate advice and users better practice methods and procedures while developing new and innovative solutions to problems in a cost effective and environmentally sustainable manner. The Transport & Civil Infrastructure Business Unit delivers the following services.


•    Maintenance & Construction of Civil Infrastructure
•    Traffic and Transport Planning
•    Asset Management & Planning
•    Community, Transport, Parking, Fleet and Stores
•    Business Operations

Our opportunity :
The key focus areas of this role include: 
1)    Drive delivery of strategic transport infrastructure, initiatives and resources to achieve transport mode shift within the Northern Beaches, with a particular focus on walking and bike riding.
2)    Apply effective project management principles including procurement, managing contracts, overseeing contractor performance and ensuring key deliverables and timeframes are met.
3)    Engage with the community on projects in a thoughtful, accessible, and transparent way to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
4)   Assist with the implementation of a new digital parking permit system, including managing customer enquiries and documenting business processes. 


About you :
We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive project officer to join the Transport Network team for a period of up to 6 months. You’ll bring critical thinking, problem solving and an interest in local transport and parking issues to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
