About the role
 

The Regulatory Services Administration Team deliver high quality administrative functions and support across the Regulatory Services Units of Environmental Health, Animal Services, Traffic Amenity, Compliance, Parking Infrastructure & School Crossings, and Building Services in accordance with established procedures and statutory requirements.

Team members ensure the efficient and effective management of Regulatory Services statutory registers and provide the first point of contact and customer service for the department, providing initial advice and appropriate referral.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent word processing skills and accuracy in data entry and demonstrated experience with a wide range of Windows based databases and applications and Council software packages utilised by the Regulatory Services Team.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating a variety of documentation, reports and correspondence.
  • Experience in an office environment with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and competing work tasks and demands.
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience in working in a regulatory environment, with ability to demonstrate compliance with legislative framework.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
