About the role
 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced grounds person to join our team performing maintenance on all our highly recognised Sporting Reserves across the City of Ballarat.

This role is responsible for carrying out routine maintenance of turf, including mowing, edging, aerating, fertilising, irrigation maintenance and assists with our specialised turf programs. 

 

About you

You will need demonstrated work experience and a positive approach to your work with a genuine passion for turf management.

Ideally you will also be able to demonstrate:

Certificate III in Turf Management or equivalent with relevant experience.

Current Victorian Drivers Licence (MR licence would be desirable)

Experience in the safe operation of mechanical plant and hand tools used in horticultural maintenance

Experience in turf maintenance operations with a particular emphasis on turf grass mowing heights and techniques, fertiliser, and herbicide application.

Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to maintain daily records, read works instructions and perform chemical mixing and application calculations.

Basic IT knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
